David comes from a professional tennis and semi-professional soccer background with a dream of playing tournament golf. Relocated to Bend with his wife Lisa from Northern California 6 years ago and picked up a Pickleball paddle 5 1/2 years ago. Now he doesn’t have time or much desire for his previous sports. Translation: He’s addicted to Pickleball and has decided to turn his addiction into a passion for Junior development and tournament training. Currently traveling frequently and competing on the Senior Pro Pickleball circuit and the Open Divisions. Specializing in tournament training for existing professional players and up and coming players. David works primarily with 4.5+ players only and runs an Elite Training Center for those who are striving to play at the professional level.

He has tournament experience at the open and senior professional levels and enjoys coaching players at all levels. | Merritt Wilburn was born and raised a tennis player out of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He grew up training at tennis academies and played collegiate division 1 tennis at The Citadel after being a top ranked recruit within the USTA junior tennis association. After 15+ years playing and teaching tennis, he picked up pickleball two years ago then fell in love with the sport a year later at the Widgi Winter Classic tournament. After the tournament Merritt got a job at Widgi Creek and has recently become a Teaching pro. Merritt is playing currently in 5.0/Open events with aspirations to go pro within the next year or two! Merritt cultivates high energy on the court during lessons/clinics and enjoys seeing people move through the different levels of pickleball! | |
